The Scottish Government and Centre for Rural Economy at Newcastle University Reference Code: AG001
Closing Date: 26th June 2009
Supervisors: Jeremy Phillipson, Dr Jane Atterton Project duration: 3 years

It will consider such questions as: What has been the broad socio-economic impact of recent fisheries policies on Scotland’s fishing communities? How are fisheries and development agencies encouraging resilience and adaptation of fishing communities?
Candidates who meet the ESRC’s eligibility criteria are entitled to either a full award (covers fees, an annual stipend of £15,290 and a research training support grant) or a fees only award.
