Viene scoperta da Isabella Blow, stilista di Vogue UK che le fa ottenere un contratto con l'agenzia di moda Storm Model Agency all'età di 18 anni[2]. Tuttavia la notorietà internazionale arriva per Sophie Dahl quando viene scelta nel 2000 come testimonial per la campagna pubblicitaria del profumo Opium della casa di moda Yves Saint Laurent. Nei cartelloni pubblicitari di Opium, la Dahl compare completamente nuda, distesa su un tappeto. La campagna pubblicitaria suscitò un certo clamore, al punto che fu bandita dal Regno Unito.[4] In seguito la modella è stata anche testimonial per Versace, Alexander McQueen, Patrick Cox, Pringles, Godiva, Banana Repulic e The Gap.
Sophie Dahl è stata anche autrice di tre libri, The Man With the Dancing Eyes (2003), Playing with the Grown-Ups (2008) e Miss Dahl's Voluptous Delights, libro di cuina in uscita nel 2009. Dahl achieved a degree of notoriety in 2000 after she appeared in an advertisement for the Yves Saint-Laurent perfume brand Opium. The ad featured a photograph of her posing nude on black satin. It was removed from UK billboards after complaints were made to the Advertising Standards Authority.[3] Dahl also appeared in campaigns for Versace, McQueen, Patrick Cox, Pringle, Godiva, Banana Republic, and The Gap, amongst others. For three years Dahl was a contributing editor at Men's Vogue, prior to its closure in 2008. She is currently a regular columnist for British Vogue, Waitrose Food Illustrated & has contributed to, amongst others, The Saturday Times Magazine, The Daily Telegraph and American edition of Vogue.
Dahl is the author of three books: The Man With the Dancing Eyes (2003), Playing with the Grown-Ups (2008) and the cookbook, Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights (2009). human snake Suite au cours de Game Art de Sophie Daste, nous avons eu l'idée de faire un projet en prenant comme référence Humain Tétris de Guillaume Reymond, et de le faire sous forme du célèbre jeu Snake de Nokia.Afin de réaliser ce projet, nous avons réservé avec l'aide de Mlle Sophie Daste, l'amphi A2, pour commencer le travail. Un travail de prise de vues photographiques qui consistait à prendre en photos Kevin sur chaque emplacements de l'amphi avec différentes couleurs de Tee shirt, le Vert pour faire le serpent et le Rouge pour faire la nourriture. Ensuite Elodie a modifié les photographies avec Photoshop afin de mettre plusieurs Kevin sur une même photographie, pour crée le serpent et le mouvement. Suite a ce travail, Kevin a inséré les photographies dans Windows media Player pour faire le montage vidéo, et donner vie aux images. Les images défilent à plusieurs vitesses différentes, selon la vitesse de la musique.

Portrait Image Sophie took a portrait image of her face and then added further images that had been altered further in photoshop to give the impression that her face was changing constantly this sequence was then reversed and then repeated to appear constantly moving with no real begining and no specific end. This creates an illusionary effect. Emphasising how we may feel about our own self image, to mask feelings etc...
