In this excerpt from the Deakin University Boardroom Lunch series, Dr Paul Harrison of the Deakin Business School talks about how ego depletion means we don't always make the best decisions when under situations of stress.

FALLUJAH BIRTH DEFECTS - THE US PERSONAL WAR Babies with three heads. Children with six fingers. Apparently birth defects in Fallujah a rampant and women have been asked not to have babies. Why? In 2004 the US army flattened Fallujah with biological and chemical weapons. It was the same thing when they bombed Vietnam with Agent Orange and Napalm, the same thing when Israel bombed Gaza with Phosphorous and the same thing when the US again used Depleted Uranium in the first Iraq War. They do it. But somehow it never gets proven and they never apoligize. It is possible that the US Army tested new weaponry during the taking of Fallujah, which was a personal decision by the Bush-Cheney alliance. At the time the US was suffering unprecedented casualties due to rampant insurgency. Orders were given to stop it at any cost. That "any cost" involved torture in Abu Ghraib and other camps, it involved an iron fist hand against the civilian population of Iraq and it involved flattening Fallujanh as an "example" to the rest of Iraq. Now, some six years later, birth defects are being seen in the local populationn of Fallujah involving children withe three heads and six fingers among many others.

PROOF POSTIVE CHENEY IS WRONG Flight 253 Attempted Terror Attack For months former Vice President Cheney has mocked and questioned President Obama ability as Commander in Chief. He has repeatedly stated that the actions of the Bush Administration has made America safer from those who desire to do us harm. Those actions included housing prisoners at Gitmo in Guantanamo Bay, invading Iraq, abusing detainees, and torturing prisoner by water boarding them. The Cheney/Bush doctrine caused the whole world to resent us and question our role as the leader of the free world. Thousands matched in various nations protesting the pending invasion of Iraq. They could not understand and/or support the fact that greatest country in the world would abuse its powers. How could the United States invade Iraq and kill thousands of innocent civilians, deplete our national treasure, caused thousands in our military to be wounded and/or killed, and destroy a country using faulty or fabricated intelligence? Many of us voiced our opposition to the Cheney/Bush policies by voting for President Obama and his vision for this nation. Others made irrational decisions and saw violence as the only response to their perceptions of the unjust actions of Bush/Cheney. Today educated men including Umar Farouk Abdulmutallah (flight 253) practicing the Muslin faith around the world are answering the recruitment calls of Al-Qaida and other terrorist groups.
